How did you end up in Rock Royale?
-My friend Tommy lured me in. We had done enough wedding gigs together, and I decided it's time to rock more and with original material!

Tell us something about your musical history
-Been playin' bass since 11 years old. First song I ever learned to play was Hey Joe. Soon after that Red Hot Chili Peppers hit me like an aeroplane, and things got groovy (and I learned to use the Thumb). Some early band projects included 70's disco and Groove/Jazz -inspired stuff. Later on I moved to Tampere to study and luckily the music scene stayed hot. Among the ones I have played in are the big band Torvikopla, funk band Funktion and Rush tribute project TMP (and dozens of humppa-weddings). After 18 years of playing cover songs it's extremely cool to join a band doing their own stuff!

What other hobbies do you have?
-Coding, reading, family affairs.

Books/ Movies?
I like to read sci-fi or music-related biographies. I rarely have time to watch movies, but when I do, they better be good. Like Commando.

What gear you use at the gigs/studio?
I've been using almost exclusively Fender Jazz basses. Current main tool is the Geddy Lee signature model (figures...). For effects I'm using the Boss GT-6B, which has everything. For amplification, TC Electronics RH450 head + RS212 cab. I don't have a vintage fetish.
